January

Somehow the month of January just flew by! We blinked and it’s gone. We had a lot of routine and normal days with Graham going to school and art class, spending time playing, working, adjusting to busy season, playing with Noelia, cooking and baking, and just enjoying everything!

This month we also enjoyed movie nights with friends, sledding, a trip to the natural history museum where the boys loved the geodes “dine-saurs” as Wells calls them, and the statues.

There was a fateful trip to Classic Skating where Graham biffed it on his scooter and we ended up at an emergency dentist! His lip has healed and his teeth should be fine, but what an adventure! Graham was BAWLING in the car, adamant that the whole day was ruined and that he would never be going back to the skating rink, asking HOW COULD YOU TAKE ME THERE MOM.

The boys were so proud of themselves making a cake from scratch. Wells loves helping, saying “help you” and “turn” every time I’m in the kitchen.

Graham finished reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Mom and Dad so we had a full on WONKA NIGHT which was such a blast! Graham LOVED the movie and Wells loved eating snacks with everyone.

The boys also went to the jump park Get Air and Wells was in heaven. Graham is finally getting brave enough to go try the slides and bouncing, but Wells has just never had any fear! He was getting bopped around and loved every second.

It’s flown by, but it’s been a fun time!

New Years

We rang in the new year in style! Complete with a wild dance party and fireworks with friends and neighbors. The boys had so much fun hanging out, running around, and then Wells went to sleep and slept through the fireworks like a champ. 2023 has so much anticipation and fun, and I can’t wait to see what it brings for us.

2022 In Review

2022 was a wonderful year for our family. So many memories and so much fun made this year truly perfect in so many ways. Hard things happened and not everything was easy, but it was perfect for our family.

Christmas Things

Christmas was pure magic at our house this year. Christmas morning was so fun, Graham loved his Magic Mixie and the nugget, Wells loves his broom and dollhouse, Randy loves his Paramore tickets, and Maddy loves her running shoes.

We spent a ton of time with cousins and family eating yummy foods, playing lots of games, and chatting about everything. Grandpa Dave and Uncle Jon (Or Chonch as Wells calls him) both came into town and it was so fun to be together.

We enjoyed work parties, Candlelight Christmas, gingerbread houses, and snow this Christmas season.

A Grand Christmas

Our Christmas staycation at the Grand America was magical. Shopping, pizza, swimming, movies, games, the display window, a giant gingerbread house, a delicious breakfast. It was so fun and we can’t wait to go again!

December Things

Festival of Trees. Snow days. Christmas movie nights. Books. Decorating. Sledding. Hot cocoa. Grinch day at school called for green hair. Layton lights. A ward Christmas party to see Santa. It’s been a December we will never forget. I will remember forever Graham being so excited about all the Nightmare Before Christmas trees. His elf wand and dancing to the music. Wells scarfing down his scone so fast.

The kids so excited to run up the paths at the Layton Lights and press the sound buttons.

Graham insisting he do a Grinch face to match his hair.

Graham being so excited to make snow angels and throw snow balls and shovel the walks. The way Wells starts laying down on the floor to read all the time now and repeats every word he hears. How he marched right up to Santa to get his candy cane.

We’re so excited for Christmas and have been enjoying every day in December.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was magic! We ate delicious food with both families and enjoyed a fun pie night, Black Friday shopping, games, movies, and Christmas decorating! The boys loved the food and especially the pie! Wells would not stop chatting and repeating the words everyone said, and Graham was in cousin heaven. The perfect start to my favorite season.

November

Graham loves his bamboo plant, doing crafts with neighbors, and school! Wells loves the slide, photos, and learns new words all the time. We decorated for Christmas which was so magical, with Christmas music and hot cocoa. We are loving every minute of this season.

Halloween

THE BEST HALLOWEEN! The boys had the best day with crafts, treats, a great show, and then COSTUME TIME. We pulled the fire pit out front and had donuts and candy. The boys went around and got tons of candy and we had SO MANY trick or treaters. It was so fun to meet so many of our neighbors and see the ones we know. Graham was stoked to be the Evil Emperor Zurg and Wells was the CUTEST Buzz Lightyear. Graham got to wear his costume to art class and to school where he got to play fun games. Wells is getting more and more talkative everyday, and is SO opinionated. I just love them both to pieces and feel so lucky that they are mine!

Seattle

Randy let me run away with my best friends to Seattle for the weekend and it was truly magical.

We grabbed some Shake Shack in the airport, watched Sleepless in Seattle on the plane, and hit the ground running once we were in Seattle! Right to Pike’s Chowder and then immediately to the Space Needle. It was SO beautiful and so cool to see the whole city and the harbor from up that high. It was cold but we decided to be brave and get scooters and head to the Ferris Wheel. It was SO beautiful and so insanely fun to see the city at night! We then went to get Din Tai Fung which was AMAZING. So delicious.

We hopped into the hot tub for just a minute and then it was off to bed! In the morning we went right to the Pike Place Market and wandered around, shopped, ate delicious macaroons and pastries, and shopped some more! We went to the CUTEST place called the Pink Door for lunch and it was SO good. Scallops to die for! Then it was off to the Museum of Pop Culture which was when I missed Randy the MOST because he would have loved it! After the museum it was more scooter rides to go to the harbor and enjoy the beautiful views. Then up to get some pizza for dinner, and of course, more dumplings in bed!

The morning we had to go we went all-out to get our matching pajama photo, ate a delicious brunch at the cutest place, and then it was time to get bak to the real world!

I’m forever grateful that moving to our neighborhood has meant finding friends who are so incredible. I love them so much and I am so lucky I conned them into being friends with me!
