June – Disneyland, Yellowstone, Moving, Birthday, Black Belt

Holy COW June was quite a month. SO much happened, so many adventures, all crammed into a single month.

Wells has been dying for his turn for a birthday for months. I on the other hand have been dreading him getting older. I want to bottle up his goofy kid laugh, his scratchy voice, his imagination, forever.

Wells is obsessed with music. He loves piano lessons, always wants a song playing, and will listen to the same songs over and over again to learn when the cymbals hit. He’s a great reader, asks for us to give him math problems every day, and begs to do mazes or workbook.

Wells is brave and unbothered, very few things rattle him, and he knows what he likes and dislikes, and isn’t afraid to tell us.

He loved playing soccer and baseball this year, and being left handed has us excited about sports for him!

He was meant to be a middle child, stirring mischief and making us laugh all the time. He loves playing with his brothers or friends, but also loves playing alone.

He would eat ramen or pasta for every meal if we let him, asks every day if he can pretend to be my baby dragon or hedgehog or monster, and has such a kind heart.

We love Wellsie ❤️

We celebrated his birthday with his first birthday party. He invited his class and some close friends to a party at the park. The theme? DRAGONS. He had a specific vision for this party! We did sand digging for dragon eggs, tattoos, snacks, cake, party favors, and tons of running around at the park. He had a blast and we loved seeing his friends love him.

We said goodbye to Kristine our nanny, as she went full time with another family. We love her so much and are sad to lose her!

Our house is being built! The framing is done and we went to write on the walls and have some time as a family in our new space. We can’t believe that these walls will soon be where all of our memories are. We wrote “Trust God and Believe in Good Things to Come” “Don’t Be Pathetic” and “Home Is Wherever I’m With You” on our walls. Some of our family mottos.

We spent a super fun week in Disneyland with Grandma and Grandpa Low! Graham devoured Tigger Tails, Wells loved trying new rides like Cars, Clarkson was in love with the train and only cared about riding or seeing that.

The boys were in awe at the parade, we spent a lot of time at Toon Town which was a blast, and had a magical start to summer.

We then turned around and went to Yellowstone. Two VERY different locations, Yellowstone with our other grandparents, and the boys adored them both! They did SO great in the car and were obsessed with finding animals. They loved eating car picnics and seeing the hot pots. We all adored the Lake Hotel and huckleberry ice cream sandwiches on the beach at Fishing Bridge. Everyone’s favorite was seeing the wolves, bears, and otters up close at the Bear World museum. The boys could have spent hours and hours there!

We enjoyed Cherry Hill, the Syracuse founders parade and fireworks, Toy Story 5, and I threw a baby shower for Aunt Liv! We celebrated her baby, a Silly Goose. It was such a fun day to show her how loved she is, along with her new baby!

It was a magical and fun June and the perfect kick off to our summer! We are SO lucky.
