We drove through the canyon and saw the changing leaves. We listened to John Denver, Take Me Home Country Roads and Annie’s Song. Right as the chorus swelled in Annie’s Song, an eagle flew up into the air and took my breath away. Graham couldn’t stop staring out the window, so quiet and thoughtful.

We walked up the path and Graham stared at the leave and chipmunks running through the trees.

I cried as we drove down the canyon, Sunshine On My Shoulders playing. The song that made Graham jump in my belly when I was pregnant. He couldn’t stop staring out the window. I couldn’t stop crying.

It was the best moment with my best friend.
