Labor Day

Our Labor Day weekend was a blast! We had a blast hanging out with family, of course on actual Labor Day Randy had to go into school for a while. But then Graham and I went and met him downtown and we went to the children’s museum, which was SO fun. Graham had such a blast there. We made yummy food and played around all weekend. It was so much fun!

We Loved August

August was SO much fun! We did so many great things and had a blast saying goodbye to summer.

Graham has been RANDOMLY deciding to go into downward dog. It CRACKS me up!

Uncle Clint and Uncle Sam gave a duo farewell/homecoming talk and it was SO good. Graham has the best uncles and I’m so excited to see how much fun Clint has.

G is a major fan of chocolate ice cream.

We had a blast hanging out with Beth at Cherry Hill before she went back to school.

Brunch with Uncle Alexon is always a great time!

This picture was taken just a few minutes before Graham biffed it walking into church, started bleeding and crying and ruined both of our clothes. Luckily he’s totally fine!

Randy started school! He’s having a good time so far, preparing for the CPA is already stressful but he’s loving grad school!

Graham and my dad played dice for like AN HOUR the other day. It was SO cute.

Randy and I got to go to a Bee’s game thanks to my office, and we had a blast! We went to Pleiku for dinner, our favorite restaurant, where a guy was puking SO LOUDLY in the bathroom. Then at the game this little girl was lost and we helped her and security find her parents. It was very eventful, but so fun!

Graham is just growing up so fast. I love him and can’t believe how lucky I am to be his mama.

WELCOME HOME SAM and summer fun

It’s been a crazy few weeks! Randy is home from his trip and we’ve been having a great time as summer is winding down. I can’t believe summer is almost over! It’s insane!

But we had the BEST thing EVER happen when Uncle Sam came home! He had a great mission in Tokyo but we are SO glad he’s home! Randy was actually still out of town when Sam got home which was hilarious, but he got home the very next day which was awesome. Graham is warming up to his uncle really well and it’s great.

Graham was SO excited to have his daddy home!

We had a great time with the entire Low family in one place. It was heaven!

Summer is going too fast but we are soaking up every minute!

July Happenings

We’ve had such a fun time this July! We’ve been working, playing, swimming, going to eat fun food, hanging with family and friends, and more!

Randy is out of town so we went to Cherry Hill, and of course Graham’s favorite part is when we eat crackers.

Graham loves playing with Grandma Low and uncle Clint!

We created a pillow for for Graham at Target haha.

We went downtown and decided to go see the Salt Lake temple. Graham absolutely loved it and wanted to knock on the doors to go in!

Pioneer Day started with a delicious breakfast with my mom and sister. Graham just loves them!

All in all we’ve had a great summer. It’s gone by way too fast, but it’s been so fun.

Love Letters Museum AND A Love Letter To Jumpsuits

This weekend we went to the Love Letters Museum in Salt Lake City and it was so fun! Such a cute little pop-up museum all about books and letters and words. Graham had a blast and there were so many fun things to do, from making a button and stamp, to writing a letter, to playing in a giant confetti pit.

Since becoming a mom, going on outings like this has become a little more stressful and requires more planning. One of the biggest things I didn’t expect is that my wardrobe would drastically change when I became a mom. Basically I want everything I wear to be super comfortable and practical for running around with G.

I used to think I couldn’t wear jumpsuits. OH WAS I WRONG. People ask me alllll the time if it’s annoying to go to the bathroom in a jumpsuit or if they’re too short/tall for a jumpsuit and the answer is EVERYONE CAN ROCK A JUMPSUIT. It’s not a hassle AT ALL. In fact, I prefer jumpsuits to most other clothing. And here is why:

1. It’s much easier than jeans and dresses to bend over, run around, chase Graham, etc. I don’t have to worry about pulling my shirt down or my pants up to keep me covered, I don’t have to worry about a skirt going a little too high, I’M ALL GOOD.
2. They look SO dressy but are comfy! Jumpsuits are classic and look like you’re tailored and elegant, but they are so comfy!
3. They are SO easy to accessorize. Throw on a necklace, jacket, sweater, blazer, or coat and you have a brand new outfit. Or just wear your jumpsuit as-is and it’s STILL perfect. There are a million options with one piece of clothing.

There is one complaint I hear about all the time when it comes to jumpsuits. They don’t transition well around motherhood. You get pregnant and they don’t fit or you can’t nurse with them. BUT WAIT. ENTER PINKBLUSH.

PinkBlush is a maternity clothing store that has outfits for when you’re pregnant, when you’re nursing, and when you’re not pregnant. ALL OF THEM IN ONE STORE. Their stuff is SO cute and perfect for mamas. I actually got my delivery robe and my maternity picture dress from PinkBlush as well, and wore both of them while pregnant, and I still wear them all the time since having Graham as well. That’s honestly one of my favorite things about PinkBlush; I wasn’t all about buying a ton of clothes I could ONLY wear when I was pregnant. Their options are perfect for while you’re pregnant, and after you’ve had your baby as well!

This Peach Ruffle Sleeve Smocked Waist Jumpsuit is just another one of their perfect options. It was SO great to wear to the Love Letters museum because I looked and felt more dressed up for a day downtown, but could go down the slide and play with Graham with no problems. I’m telling you, jumpsuits are a mom’s best friend.

And this jumpsuit has the CUTEST square neck and ruffle sleeve, setting it apart from other jumpsuits, and the smocked waist is GENIUS because I ate cookies for breakfast and the smocked waist made me feel so confident. It’s also going to be perfect when we decide to have another baby, because I know it will transition SO well as a maternity jumpsuit.

Basically, go out and buy yourself a jumpsuit, or something else from PinkBlush because they seriously know how to take care of women, from maternity clothing to mama clothing, I can’t recommend them enough!

4th of July

Our 4th of July was a blast!

Randy woke up early and went to run a 10K (he got 6th place and did great!!)

I made some celebratory waffles that turned out a little light colored hahaha but it was good!

We went to the parade and Graham had a blast! He waved and clapped and thought all the floats were so cool. Everyone thought he was so cute and wanted to give him candy!

We went to Red Robin for lunch and it was delicious! We ran home for Graham to take a nap and we played games and took a nap.

We then went over to Randy’s parent’s house and had a great time playing with Charlotte and grandma and grandpa!

After that, we went off to my parent’s house to get ready for the fireworks. It was raining off and on, we made popcorn and had candy and apple pie. We went back and forth about going to the fireworks and we ended up going over, when it started raining so we packed back up and watched the fireworks on my parent’s driveway.

It was a wonderful day, but my favorite moment was when Graham and I were driving to the parade. We were listening to Hamilton and the line “the world turned upside down” just made me cry. I was filled with so much gratitude for the people who worked and fought to give me the life I have. And I’m so grateful for people like that today who are turning our world upside down to continue to make it a place where everyone is safe and welcome. Just so full of love and gratitude! USA!!!

JUNE

We’ve been having a great time this month, here area few of our favorite things we’ve been doing:

G is WALKING WALKING WALKING and almost running and it’s so cute. We go on walks alllll the time and he is the cutest. He loves chasing us around and everything, it’s the best.

Graham LOVES reading and brings us book after book after book to read, it’s just precious.

On the weekends we make yummy breakfasts and G is obsessed with waffles.

We’ve been going to Cherry Hill (well Randy has been taking G and they have so much fun) and he’s getting more comfortable with the water!

Randy and I both have been working a ton but it’s been really good.

We had a fun picnic the other night which was the best.

We love going grocery shopping all together, cooking dinner, and playing outside on these fun summer nights.

Randy and I also went and saw Toy Story 4 which made us SOB. SO GOOD. Reminded us of our childhoods and it was so tender. Go see it if you haven’t yet!

Hawaii Trip!!

We had the best time in Hawaii with Randy’s parents and brother! We were so lucky they invited us on vacation with them, and had the best time. Here’s a little recap of our
Day 1: We got on the plane in the morning, and Graham didn’t sleep much and watched shows, it was pretty long and crazy. We had to RUN through LAX to catch our second flight just barely. Randy was so sweet and helped me and a guy called out “DADDY OF THE YEAR, BRO” as we ran past which was so sweet. We actually saw TAN FRANCE on our first flight though, so it was very worth it! Randy’s parent’s plane was delayed so we waited for them in the Honolulu airport. When they arrived we got the car, Graham loved playing with the birds all around, we went to Target to get groceries and then to Aulani, the Disney Resort! We got beautiful leis and beads when we arrived which was so amazing, and then went out to swimming which Graham loved. We went to a curry house for dinner and then went to bed pretty early, we were very tired!
Day 2: We woke up and had breakfast (eggs and sausage and fresh fruit!), went right out to swim and Graham LOVED playing on the beach. We relaxed while he napped, then went to Monoa Falls and hiked which was beautiful, then went to some old ruins of a royal palace that was also beautiful! We went to the mall where there was a whole Japanese village and ate dinner, Randy found chicken nan ban and I had ramen. It was SO fun to see all the fun Japanese restaurants. We stopped at Leonard’s Bakery on the way home and got delicious masaladas. Randy went to swim later that night and I hung out with sleeping baby.
Day 3: Breakfast of eggs and bananas, then we were off to the Dole Plantation. Randy and Graham and I rode the train and it was so cool to see all the pineapple bushes and cacao trees, mango, sugarcane, and more. Dole float topped off our adventure there.. Then we went to the North Shore which was so beautiful. We stopped at Fumi’s shrimp truck which was soooooo good. Then to the Polynesian Cultural Center We went to Samoa and met Kap, the artist who does all the Samoa demonstrations, and their demonstration was climbing a coconut tree, shredding coconut, making milk, etc. It was SO cool! We went to New Zealand and the buildings were beautiful and they did some dances and songs. Then Fiji where G got a tattoo. Then we watched the canoe show. We went over to Tonga where they made the poor Japanese guy play the drums, he couldn’t understand what they were asking him to do and it was SO funny and also sad.. Then we went to Tahiti. The only “island” inside the PCC we didn’t get to was Hawaii. We went and watched the Hawaiian journey video and then toured the BYU campus and the temple which was so fun. All the sister missionaries LOVED Graham and a bunch of them were from Japan which was so cool. We went to the luau for dinner which was delicious! SO much yummy food, so fresh and amazing. And the entertainment was amazing, complete with two eight year old boys doing fire dancing. Then we went to the Breath of Life show which had so many cool dances and fire dancing. Then back to the resort, and to bed!
Day 4: Randy ran to the store to get some groceries, we had breakfast, then we got ready and went to Hanauma Bay! It was beautiful and busy but sooo amazing. We went snorkeling and saw beautiful fish, Dory fish and white stripped fish and bright orange and purple fish. Graham loved putting rocks in his cup on the beach and sitting in the waves. We ate some snacks and a weasel tried to get into someone’s donut box! We stopped at an udon shop on the way home and went to the Japanese store and got Aquarius (my favorite Japanese drink). We came back to the resort and Graham and mom walked around and made friends, had a Dole whip, and had a great time. We fedGraham dinner so he could go to bed since he didn’t have a good nap. We made Japanese food for dinner which was delicious!
Day 5: We woke up early and had breakfast, then Graham and mom went for a walk. We went down to the pool and played around until Graham was ready for a nap. We rested and just relaxed while he slept. Then we got ready, stopped at McDonald’s, and went to Pearl Harbor. It was so sad, beautiful, and hard to be there. Sam called while we were there and he broke his arm on his mission! He should be better soon. We fought traffic home and tried to get Graham to rest with no success. We got ready and went to have an amazing all you can eat dinner. Crab, fresh sushi, amazing desserts, it was just the best food! We were all stuffed and it was the perfect final dinner in Hawaii.
Day 6: Graham woke up early and we went on a walk, ate breakfast and went for another walk down to the neighboring resort’s beach. It was so beautiful and the waves were amazing. We packed up to get ready to go home. We went to lunch at a yummy ramen place, then went to the Pacific National Cemetery. It was so sad to see all the young men who died in the war. We went to the mall and Graham had a blast playing on the fake grass hill, he kept trying to climb up and sliding down, it was so sweet. We had Hawaiian shaved ice and açaí bowls that were soooo good. Then it was time to go to the airport! Security was LONG but all the airport crew was SO nice to us (on our way to Hawaii and home) and helped us get everything we needed. We got dinner at the airport and then it was time to get on the flight. It was a red eye so luckily Graham slept the whole time! It was only 5 hours so we didn’t get a full night’s sleep but it was good! We had Shake Shack for breakfast at LAX and then got onto our flight home!
It was an awesome trip, and we already miss the island life!

Memorial Day & G MAN WALKS

The rest of May and our Memorial Day was so fun! My cousins were in town and we watched some of their competition soccer games, and GRAHAM IS OFFICIALLY WALKING. I just can’t believe it. He was doing a couple steps and then BAM he was just walking all over (video to come). We’ve been having a super fun, relaxed month of May, making delicious food and trying not to set off the fire alarm in our house, baking cookies, getting everything together for our Hawaii trip (ONE WEEK) and having the best time.

4 Years

We have had the best year, and every year we get to spend together is just the best. This past year of marriage we have moved (again), Randy graduated, we’ve worked and played, had the best time with our little boy, and fallen even more in love.

When we were dating, Randy and I would play a little game, imagining what our life would look like in exactly four years. We talked about 4 years because that’s when Randy would be home from his mission. We wondered what our life could look like then.

Our best friends even took this little game, and put it in a song they sang for us on our wedding day.
The day we were married, we played this little game, imagining our future. We wondered if we would have a baby, if we’d be done with school, where we’d be living, all of it.

Where we are today, and the love we have, is more than I ever could have dreamed.

“Do you remember that game we played together when we talked about forever… This is our dream, and nothing’s going to take it away from me, we built it together, so marry me, and I’ll never let you go.” These are some of the lyrics from that song that Caleb and Alexon wrote, and it just captures this moment perfectly.

Can’t wait to see where the next “four year” game will take us!

For our anniversary we had muffins for breakfast, I sent Randy off to go play at Guitar Center while I worked. Then we went to Salt Lake to have lunch at Eva’s Bakery (which was SO yummy as always). Our evening was filled with watching Friends and eating ramen which is like the epitome of our marriage.

Friday we had my mom watch Graham so we could go on a fun date! We went shopping at Fashion Place, one of our favorite things to do, scootered around SLC and went to dinner at Cafe Molise which was DELICIOUS. We had such a wonderful time talking about our past and our future. I just loved it.
