Slow Lane

I feel like lately I’ve been trying to enjoy the slow lane a little more. Things are SO busy and busy season is wild, but I’ve been trying not to feel so frantic. And I like that. I spent more than $10 on a pair of pajamas and it feels SO luxurious. I love it. Slow mornings and making pancakes and just finding time every day to do fun things has been my favorite shift. There are days that still are a lot, but I’ve just decided to be a little less frantic and I love it.

7 Months of Wells

7 months with our sunshine boy and every day gets better and better!
•Wells has 2 teeth coming in and he’s taken teething like a champ.
•He rolls back and forth and uses his head to scoot forward in the weirdest form of crawling I’ve ever seen.
•He LOVES food and will eat anything we give him, and a lot of it.
•He is obsessed with Graham and G cries when they have to stop playing together for any reason.
•He loves saying daaaaaa daaaa, ha-TA, and squeaking so loudly.
•He loves dancing with mom, drumming with dad, eating his books and toys, and looking out the window on car rides.
Forever grateful to have him

COVID

We had COVID at our house. Well I tested positive. None of the boys ever did which was wild. But we are all negative now and back on our way! It was a couple weeks of no nanny, no school, lots of independent playtime and Graham was an absolute CHAMP. We had been sick earlier and had tested negative for Covid, but since testing positive all of us actually felt pretty good, which was so random!

It’s been a busy swimming and paddling for our life time, but it’s been great and our boys are just champs!

Sunbeams and Sick

We have spent January feeling sick! It wasn’t bad, then Mom was pretty sick, then it seemed better, then the boys got really rough colds. It hasn’t been COVID so far but it’s been pretty rough! Sick babies are no fun. Wells started getting his first tooth and then a couple days later was so sick! Poor guy has had a rough time, but that tooth is super cute! We’re just taking all the cuddles and hoping to get through!

Graham got to go to SUNBEAMS for the first time where his nanny Noelia is his teacher. He loved it and can’t wait to go back!

I’m Feeling ’22

I feel like 2022 is going to be OUR YEAR. Which is SO cliche. But 2021 was so good to us and I can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store.

My word for 2022 is HOME. I want to make our hoes a home. Make everyone feel welcome in our home. Make US a home anywhere we are. I love this family of mine and I’m so happy we have each other.

New Year’s Eve was a countdown at 8:30, boys in bed, and me shaking Randy awake for a new year’s kiss. It was simple, had good food, full of games and the boys. That’s all I ever want.

And now we’re off to the races with busy season and preschool and Wells is getting so big and I just am so in love with our life!

2021 Review

This was a beautiful year. We welcomed Wells. We built our first home. We learned together. We laughed together. We grew together. We spent so much time with family and friends. I’m so grateful for what this year brought to us.

CHRISTMAS

We had a beautiful Christmas and I will remember it forever!

Right before Christmas we went to see the Nutcracker with Shawn and Gavin which was so fun! It’s always the best to go see the show with my sisters and it was just so special this year! It was also incredibly well done!

We had so many awesome activities in December, making gingerbread houses, eating cookies, Graham made an ornament in preschool which made my whole day!

Christmas Eve we went to my parents for a delicious lunch and playing games, then off to the Low’s for a delicious dinner! Graham and Wells just love being with family.

Christmas morning was incredible. Graham and Wells woke up and we came down the stairs where Graham saw his DINOSAUR HOTWHEELS CAR. He was over the moon. He loved his PJ Masks toys, Wells LOVED his farm and his remote controller. Graham asked us if we could call Santa to say thank you which melted our hearts. Randy loved getting clothes and a watch band, Maddy loved getting clothes and a BOSCH!

We ate breakfast and danced to Christmas music and it was really a perfect morning.

We went back over to my mom and dad’s to eat a yummy lunch and visit, then back over to the Low’s for presents and fun games.

We came home that night exhausted but so happy. It was a perfect Christmas in so many ways.

We had Cousin Christmas with Melanie a few days later which was just amazing. So much fun to all be together, opening presents and playing games and eating fondue.

This Christmas I have thought a lot about the mother Mary and her life. I’ve thought about Christ and this tiny baby and all he meant. I’m just so grateful this year and every day for Him and what He gives.

Snow Day

We had a straight up BLIZZARD here the other day that blew snow all across our house, stacked up on our windows, and flickered the lights all night. But it was MAGIC to have the boys play in the snow! Graham and Mel had a blast eating snow, making angels, and throwing snowballs with Randy from the sliding glass door. Graham and Wells came out another day to make a snowman and Wells wasn’t sure how he felt about the snow, but Graham adored our durpy little snowman.

We went with the whole family to the aquarium for a little Christmas activity and it was a blast! The kids had so much fun with their cousins looking at all the fish. We played games at Ben and Kim’s until the evening and it was just a great day.

Christmas is COMING and we better get ready for it! It’s been a magical December and I don’t want it to end.

Family Photos November 2021

We got back our family photos and I am in love! Amber came and took them in our house and it’s so awesome to see our little fam, doing our thing inside this new house. I hope we always remember how Wells squeaky voice sounds, how Graham races us up the stairs, making cookies and eating the dough. All of it.

Christmas Fun

This year has been so much fun getting ready for Christmas! Randy was out of town this week and the boys and I had so much fun, even though we missed him so much. We made cookies, did our family service project of getting presents for a child in foster care, and watched Christmas movies. After Dad got back from his business trip, we went to see the blow up lights in Farmington which Graham LOVED. He yelled LOOK every two minutes to show us every single one and describe it to us.

Saturday we made pancakes, went to the mall and the rush of crowds where we listened to Christmas music playing and shopped for gifts. We then played with cousins and went to the light tunnel in Salt Lake which was a blast! We always love hanging out with Courtney and Tommy and it was a great time.

Graham LOVED the light tunnel and we played tag in the maze. Wells was in awe and was such a good baby the whole time while we wandered around in the cold. He is such a good sport.

Christmas has come so quickly but we’ve gotten to do tons of fun things and it’s only going to get even better!
